Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused school located in the borough of Tameside, who are looking to recruit a dedicated School Caretaker/Site Manager to join their team as soon as possible.
About the Role:
As the School Caretaker/Site Manager, you will play a key role in the daily maintenance, safety, and smooth running of the school premises. Duties will include:
- Opening and securing the school site each day
- General maintenance, minor repairs, and basic DIY
- Monitoring site security and conducting safety checks
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed
- Managing cleaning staff and overseeing contractors when required
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience in a similar role (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)
- Be proactive, reliable, and able to use initiative
- Have good communication and organisational skills
- Be comfortable with manual tasks and basic maintenance work
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
