Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Level 3 Teaching Assistants Needed – Rochdale
Start Date: January 2026
Location: Primary Schools Across Rochdale
Pay Rate: £95–£110 per day (dependent on experience & role requirements)
Axcis Education is seeking experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support a number of local primary schools in the Rochdale area from January 2026. We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available, with roles ranging from general classroom support to 1:1 and small-group interventions.
Job Description
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Delivering targeted interventions and supporting phonics, literacy, and numeracy
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEND (including Autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, or SEMH needs)
• Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparation and classroom management
• Creating a positive, engaging and safe learning environment
• Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Contributing to progress monitoring and record keeping
• You may be placed within mainstream classrooms, resource bases, or specialist provisions within primary schools.
Requirements
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Recent experience working in a primary school setting
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management
• Experience with SEND is highly desirable
