Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Secondary Location: Taunton Pay Rate: £89 per day Job Type: Part-time – Term Time Only (Temporary or Long-term) Hours: 8.30 – 3.30pm (Monday to Friday) Are you motivated to support young people with additional educational needs in reaching their potential? We are looking for a committed and adaptable Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a thriving secondary school in Taunton, working closely with students who may face a variety of challenges including autism, behavioural difficulties, and other SEND needs. About the Role: This is a fulfilling and varied role supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to ensure young people with additional needs feel supported, confident, and engaged in school life. You’ll help them access learning, stay focused in lessons, and develop socially and emotionally in a supportive and structured environment. You will also be involved in mentoring, academic support, and encouraging independence — with a focus on both classroom learning and broader development.
