An ambitious secondary school in Islington is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a Maths specialism to support students with additional learning needs across KS3 and KS4.
The role will focus on supporting pupils with a range of mild to moderate SEND, both within mainstream lessons and through targeted small group maths interventions designed to improve confidence, engagement, and progress.
The Role:
Provide in-class support for students with SEND
Deliver targeted numeracy and maths intervention sessions
Support students with EHCPs and differentiated learning
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
Liaise effectively with teaching staff and the SEN department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working in a secondary school support role
Strong Maths knowledge and confidence supporting numeracy
Experience supporting students with additional needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A calm, positive, and supportive manner
