KS1 Teaching Assistant Location: Dorchester Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Pay: £89 – £95 per day Start Date: September 2025 Imagine working with future astronauts, politicians, film makers, scientists. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team at a a fully inclusive single form entry school Primary school. Every pupil is recognised and valued and they hold happiness, respect and understanding as their main values About the role: We are seeking a flexible and dedicated individual to join a supportive school team. You will be expected to work in a KS1 class, responding to the changing needs of pupils and staff. A key part of this role involves providing 1:1 support to SEN pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: - support the KS1 class teacher in order to ensure the delivery of a high-quality education for all students - support the KS1 class teacher to ensure that all relevant education policies and procedures are implemented in full - provide relevant and appropriate support to students, on an individual or group basis, in order to enable them to access the curriculum as independently as possible - ensure that the available equipment and resources are used, stored and maintained efficiently - foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students - Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff About you: - Friendly, patient, and proactive with a flexible approach to your working day - Previous experience working in a classroom is preferred - Experience with SEND is desirable, though not essential – full training and ongoing support will be provided - Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in a Primary School setting If you're passionate about supporting children and you're looking for a long-term, rewarding role in a caring school environment, we want to hear from you.
