Early Years Teaching Assistant - Nursery - Complex Needs - Chorley - Full Time Location: Chorley Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary (Term Time Only) Pay: From £93 per day Start Date: September Axcis Education is recruiting an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming nursery in Chorley. This full-time temporary role is based within the nursery's specialist complex needs provision, supporting young children with SEND and additional needs during the crucial early stages of their development. This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring and proactive individual with a passion for Early Years education and supporting children with complex needs. You will work closely with nursery staff to provide tailored support, helping children develop their communication, social, emotional and learning skills in a safe, nurturing environment. This is an ongoing temporary position through Axcis Education to meet the nursery's staffing needs. The role includes: - Supporting children with SEND and complex needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups within the nursery's specialist complex needs room. - Assisting with learning, play, communication, personal development and daily routines while promoting independence and inclusion. - Working closely with the Early Years team to create a positive, engaging and supportive environment for every child. Applicants should have: - At least 6 months' experience supporting children in an Early Years or nursery setting, including children with SEND and additional needs, in a professional or voluntary capacity. Candidates with extensive personal experience supporting individuals with SEND are also encouraged to apply. - Experience supporting children with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SLD, PMLD or other complex needs. Applicants must be comfortable supporting children with complex needs, including physical disabilities and mobility difficulties. - A patient, caring and proactive approach, excellent communication skills, availability to work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm during term time, the ability to travel to the nursery in Chorley, and the right to work in the UK. Please note: Overseas-trained candidates are welcome to apply. However, applicants must have a minimum of 3 months' experience working within a UK nursery, school or education setting. Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
