Job Title: Cover Supervisor
JOB LOCATION:
Skelmersdale
Axcis Education is actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor for a full-time position at a large secondary school in Skelmersdale, West Lancashire. This role is due to begin in September 2025
About the School:
The school is a large secondary setting with a diverse student population, including some pupils with additional needs such as learning difficulties and/or ADHD. Overall, behaviour across the school is good, due to the focus placed on it by the senior leadership team. The staff team is supportive, and the school is committed to providing an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
About the Role:
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
Part-time applicants will also be considered, provided you are able to work full days.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons across all age groups
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
- Supporting students in small groups when not covering lessons
Who We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be:
- Hardworking, confident, and passionate about working with young people
- Experienced in working with secondary-aged students
Ideally experienced in:
- Leading or delivering lessons
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
This role is perfect for:

Pay:
Starting from £14 per hour, with potential for higher rates depending on experience
