Axcis Education are supporting a secondary mainstream school near Newton Abbot who are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. The role is to start as soon as possible, working Wednesdays and Fridays and the rate of pay will be between £90-£100 a day.
This rewarding role involves supporting a young male student with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) and physical disabilities. Your key responsibilities will include:
-Providing 1:1 support throughout the school day
-Assisting with mobility, including pushing the student’s wheelchair between lessons
-Supporting his emotional wellbeing and access to learning
