Job Title: 1:1 Primary SEND Teaching Assistant - Downs Syndrome - Islington
London - North
A 'Good' two-form entry primary school based in Islington are in need of an experience teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Key Stage 2 pupil with Downs Syndrome. The ideal teaching assistant will be a creative specialist who has a passion for working with SEND pupils and has experience of working within Key Stage 2. You will have high expectations of yourself and the children you work with and also possess a calm, positive and pro-active approach to supporting children within the classroom. Experience with Makaton is also a requirement. This is a full-time role to start in September 2020 on an ongoing basis. About the role: o 1:1 Teaching Assistant working with a Key Stage pupil with Downs Syndrome o Full time, (Mon-Fri) The ideal candidate: o Experience working with Key Stage2 pupils o Experience with Down Syndrome o Makaton experience - essential. About the school: o Two-form entry Primary School o Dedicated and supportive leadership team o Friendly and Welcoming Staff o Easily Accessible by Public Transport This is a temporary position.
