Job Title: Youth Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Keynsham, Bristol (BS31)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Roles: Full-time and part-time opportunities available
Pay: £92.65 per day
Contract: Temporary with potential to become permanent

We are working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Keynsham seeking a Youth Mental Health Support Worker to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and offers targeted support for pupils with SEND and additional behavioural needs.
This is a varied and engaging role where you’ll support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them stay on track academically while also developing confidence and resilience.
About the Role:
- Support students with SEND, including autism and SEMH needs
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and engagement
- Assist with behaviour management and maintaining a positive classroom environment
- Support pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times
- Work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting young people with SEND or behavioural needs is desirable
- Calm, patient, and consistent approach to challenging behaviour
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with teenagers
- Reliable, adaptable, and proactive attitude
- A genuine interest in supporting young people’s development
We welcome applicants with experience in:
- Schools, youth work, coaching or mentoring
- Care or support work
- Personal experience with SEND
- Graduates in psychology, sociology, sport, drama or related fields
