Axcis are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a Foundation Phase pupil who has SEMH - on a full time basis in the Vale of Glamorgan area. A current team teach certificate would be ideal for this role but if you do not have this qualification, but have supported children with severe challenging behaviour please do still contact us. Axcis is proud to offer training that will help you to move from mainstream to SEND easily. Our training includes, but is not limited to; Autism Awareness, Moving and Handling and Non-verbal Communication. We also offer Team Teach courses run by our own accredited in-house Team Teach trainers during the holidays. We have always taken our responsibility to the sector seriously, and this is reflected in our professional partnerships with organisations such as NAS (National Autistic Society) and nasen (National Association of Special Educational Needs). Axcis is not "just another agency" and we pride ourselves on offering a unique service which is backed up by a serious commitment to the SEND sector. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Kathryn Fish at Axcis Education on 02920 508733

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.
