Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – Primary School – North Cheam, Sutton
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Pay: Starting rate - £92–£95 per day (PAYE), depending on experience
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in North Cheam, Sutton, from September 2026.

This is a lovely primary school with 443 pupils from Nursery to Year 6, offering a warm, supportive and inclusive environment for both pupils and staff. The school prides itself on accessibility for all students and promotes a strong sense of community, ensuring every child is supported to succeed.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils in the classroom, both individually and in small groups
Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Supporting pupils with additional needs where required
Encouraging pupil participation, confidence and independence

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is ideally required
