Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant – Harrow
SEN Learning Support Assistant – College | Harrow
Location: Harrow
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: 8:45am – 4:30pm (hours may vary depending on the timetable)
Schedule: 4–5 days per week
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join the SEN Department at a welcoming college in Harrow, supporting learners aged 16+.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by helping students with a range of additional needs to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.
The role will involve:
- Supporting learners with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Assisting with personal care and manual handling where required
- Encouraging independence, engagement, and participation in lessons
- Working closely with teaching staff to provide individualised support
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting individuals with SEN or in a healthcare setting
- Manual handling training (essential)
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
