Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

Axcis Education is working with a welcoming and well-established SEN school in Warrington to recruit a Mental Health Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils from late June or July 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help children with SEN, SEMH, and mental health needs thrive in a supportive and nurturing school environment. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and offers excellent support for both pupils and staff.
The Role
You will:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
• Promote emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour, and engagement in learning
• Deliver targeted interventions and support individual learning plans
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals
• Monitor progress and contribute to pupil support strategies
About You
We're looking for someone who:
• Has experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, or mental health needs
• Is calm, patient, resilient, and nurturing
• Can build strong relationships and communicate effectively
• Understands behaviour management and trauma-informed approaches
• Is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
