Job Title: Teaching Assistant
A welcoming special school in Kingston is looking for experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time, Monday to Friday basis. The school supports pupils aged 5–19 with a range of complex special educational needs including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism.
This is a rewarding opportunity for candidates who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs in a specialist educational setting. Staff will provide classroom support, assist with personal care where required, and help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all learners.
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience working within a SEND school setting
Have experience supporting pupils with SLD, PMLD, Autism, or complex needs
Be patient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Be comfortable supporting students across different age groups and abilities
Hold both a valid Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
This role would suit candidates with a strong understanding of SEND support who are looking for a long-term opportunity within a supportive and specialist school environment.
