SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Ealing)
Location: Southall
Start Date: May 2026
Axcis are recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a lovely mainstream primary school in Ealing, based in Southall. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday (8:30am – 4:00pm), with a strong preference for candidates who can commit for the full academic year.
This position involves providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with ADHD and autism within a classroom setting. The school is seeking a patient and experienced individual who can deliver high-quality support while managing challenging behaviour and maintaining a structured, positive learning environment.
The school has recently achieved an Outstanding OFSTED rating and offers a supportive and welcoming environment. There is potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD and autism
-Assist with classroom learning and engagement
-Implement strategies to manage behaviour effectively
-Create a supportive and structured learning environment
Requirements:
-Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
-Experience working with children with ADHD and autism, ideally in a mainstream school setting
-Strong behaviour management skills and ability to set clear boundaries
-SEMH experience is highly desirable
-A kind, patient, and proactive approach
-Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
-Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm)
