Job Title: Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant – Year 1 (1:1 Support)
Location: Near North Ealing Station
Start Date: After Easter
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 4:00pm)
About the School
We are working with a warm, welcoming, and nurturing primary school, conveniently located within walking distance of North Ealing Station. The school prides itself on creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
This is a rewarding full-time position supporting a Year 1 pupil on a 1:1 basis. The pupil has ASD, SEMH needs, and some complex behaviours, and is high-functioning.
The school is seeking a patient, consistent, and compassionate individual who can build a strong, positive relationship while supporting both the child’s academic progress and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with ASD, SEMH, and additional needs
-Support behaviour management, engagement, and access to learning
-Work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team
-Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
-Promote the pupil’s emotional wellbeing and social development

Requirements
-Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a UK school setting
-Experience working with ASD, SEMH, and/or complex needs
-Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
-Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
