Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant
Pay: £90–£95/day PAYE
Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:30am - 15:30pm
Axcis Education is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a trauma-informed primary school in Salisbury. This Teaching Assistant role focuses on supporting students within the primary key stages who present with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide classroom-based support to primary-aged students as a Teaching Assistant
• Support the delivery of trauma-informed approaches to learning and behaviour
• Encourage emotional regulation, engagement and positive relationships
• Help create a calm, safe and supportive learning environment
• Work in partnership with teachers and the wider school team
Requirements:
• Previous SEMH experience is desirable, either professional or personal
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
