Job Title: Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1) – Mainstream Primary School
Year Group: Year 5
Location: Ealing, London (near Ealing Broadway Station)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time, until at least the end of the academic year
Axcis are seeking a committed and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with ASD (SEND) within a mainstream Year 5 classroom. The pupil presents challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will need to be calm, resilient, and confident in providing consistent support.

Key Responsibilities:
-Providing 1:1 support to a child with ASD (SEND) within a mainstream Year 5 classroom
-Supporting and managing challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
-Assisting with personal care when required
-Implementing behaviour management techniques and SEN strategies consistently
-Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support learning and wellbeing
Essential Requirements:
-Proven experience supporting children with ASD / SEND
-Experience managing challenging behaviour in a school setting
-Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and interventions
-Willingness to support with personal care
-Able to commit full-time until at least the end of the academic year
