Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Secondary Science Academic Mentor /Teaching Assistant
Location: Brent
Start Date: February 2026 Monday - Friday, On-Going in Term-Time
Pay: £90-100 per day (based on experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated Secondary Science Academic Mentor / Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Brent. This role is ideal for a graduate or aspiring teacher who is keen to make a real impact on young people’s learning and progress in Science.

The role:
• Supporting students across KS3–KS5 in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
• Delivering targeted small-group and one-to-one interventions
• Assisting teachers in lessons to promote engagement and progress
• Helping to foster students’ confidence, ambition and love of Science
• Contributing to a calm, purposeful and respectful learning environment
The ideal candidate:
• Holds a strong Science-related degree (or equivalent)
• Has a genuine interest in education and supporting young people
• Is patient, proactive and enthusiastic
• May be considering a future career in teaching or education
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
