We are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant (SEND) to work in a supportive Primary school setting in Bury. This is a temporary role running until the end of the academic year, offering competitive daily pay and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting children with additional needs who are seeking a rewarding Teaching Assistant position in Bury.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Support pupils with learning, communication, emotional and behavioural needs
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
Requirements
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEND Teaching Assistant
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a school team
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
