Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – Secondary School | Andover
Pay: £90–£95/day PAYE | Hours: 08:30–15:30, Monday–Friday
Axcis Education is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH needs in a secondary mainstream school in Andover. This Teaching Assistant role is perfect for individuals passionate about helping students manage social, emotional, and mental health challenges while achieving their academic potential.
Key responsibilities:
• Support students with SEMH needs across the school day as a Teaching Assistant
• Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and behaviour support strategies
• Promote emotional regulation, positive routines, and social development
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers and the wider school team to ensure consistent support
Requirements:
• Professional or personal experience supporting students with SEMH or SEND is desirable
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
