Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Bury Length of Role: Until end of academic year Pay Rate: £89 – £105 per day Contract Type: Temporary Primary School Teaching Assistant – Bury (Temporary) A welcoming and supportive primary school in Bury is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This temporary position runs until the end of the academic year and offers a great opportunity to build experience within a primary classroom environment. Key Responsibilities • Support the class teacher with learning activities across the primary curriculum. • Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions to boost progress. • Assist pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional needs. • Promote positive behaviour and help maintain an inclusive, engaging learning environment. • Prepare learning resources and keep classroom areas organised. • Supervise pupils during breaktimes, transitions, and other non-classroom periods as needed. Requirements • Experience working in a primary school or supporting primary-aged pupils. • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach. • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
