Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term time only)
A large and well-resourced three-form entry primary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This full-time position involves working with a Year 5 class, providing 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC, as well as delivering literacy and numeracy booster sessions to small groups.
The school offers superb facilities, a longstanding and supportive SLT who invest in staff development, and a warm, collaborative atmosphere. As pupils prepare for their SATs year, this role is key in helping them develop confidence, independence, and secure foundations in core subjects.
Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC within the Year 5 classroom.
Deliver small group literacy and numeracy interventions to boost progress.
Support class teachers with planning and delivering learning activities.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Encourage pupil participation and readiness for Year 6 and SATs.
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting pupils with ASC is desirable.
Confident supporting literacy and numeracy at KS2 level.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to pupil progress.
