Teaching Assistant – Year 5 (ASC & Booster Support) Location: Bournemouth Start Date: ASAP Pay: £90–£95 per day Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term time only) A large and well-resourced three-form entry primary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This full-time position involves working with a Year 5 class, providing 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC, as well as delivering literacy and numeracy booster sessions to small groups. As pupils prepare for their SATs year, this role is key in helping them develop confidence, independence, and secure foundations in core subjects. Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC within the Year 5 classroom. Deliver small group literacy and numeracy interventions to boost progress. Support class teachers with planning and delivering learning activities. Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Encourage pupil participation and readiness for Year 6 and SATs. Requirements: Previous experience supporting pupils with ASC is desirable. Confident supporting literacy and numeracy at KS2 level. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to pupil progress.
