We’re currently recruiting Specialist Teaching Assistants to join inclusive and supportive schools across Manchester from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience supporting children or young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), either in an educational or care-based environment. We have a range of opportunities across both primary and secondary schools, tailored to meet pupils’ individual needs. Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant specialising in autism support, your responsibilities will include: • Working 1:1 or in small groups with autistic pupils • Supporting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities • Using visual aids, sensory strategies, and communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton) • Helping to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment • Promoting social, emotional, and academic development We’re looking for someone who: • Has experience supporting children or young people with autism (in schools, care settings, or youth services) • Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff • Is patient, proactive, and passionate about inclusive education • Is flexible and able to adapt to different classroom environments • Has a good understanding of autism and common associated needs (e.g., sensory processing, communication differences) Why apply? • September start with immediate interviews available • Opportunities across a range of school settings • Competitive daily pay: £89 per day • A chance to make a real difference in the lives of autistic young people • Know someone else who might be interested?
