Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is working with an all through SEND School, a fantastic specialist setting near Bicton, East Devon, to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a warm, dedicated team supporting pupils with complex additional needs, including autism, global developmental delay, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
At the school no two days are the same and that’s what makes it so special. You’ll be helping students access learning in a highly personalised way, using sensory activities, communication aids, outdoor learning, and lots of creativity. Some students need support with personal care and physical needs, so you’ll need to be comfortable with that, but you’ll be fully supported by experienced staff. Whether you're helping in the classroom, out in the garden, or joining a swimming or rebound session, you’ll be playing a key role in helping young people feel safe, seen, and successful.
We’re looking for someone who’s kind, patient, and ready to learn. You don’t need years of experience, just the right attitude and willingness to get stuck in. If you have experience in care, early years, SEND, or youth work, even better. This is a full-time, term-time role with great training and potential for long-term work or even a permanent contract. So if you're looking for a meaningful job where you’ll finish each day knowing you’ve made a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
This role starts in the new academic year in September.
