Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD Focus (Primary SEND School)
Location: Greenford – Mandeville School
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:45 AM – 3:45 PM
Commitment: Full Academic Year

The school supports 148 pupils with complex needs including autism spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, and visual and hearing impairments.

Your Role Will Include:
-Supporting small class groups (approx. 8 pupils) with one teacher and three TAs
- Helping children with GDD, sensory processing needs, and moving & handling (including hoisting)
- Supporting both verbal and non-verbal pupils using PECS, Makaton, and alternative communication methods
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours calmly and consistently
- Providing personal care when needed, including hygiene and toileting
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
-Has experience working in an SEN environment
-Is skilled in supporting challenging behaviour in a positive, structured way
-Has confidence using PECS, Makaton, or similar systems
-Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)
-Is comfortable delivering personal care
-Can commit to full-time, Monday–Friday work for the entire academic year or more
