Axcis Education is seeking a committed and experienced SEN teaching assistant to join Greenford High School's Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP). This role requires full-time commitment, supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and challenging behavior.
About the Role: In the ARP, you'll work alongside a smaller team dedicated to helping students overcome barriers to learning. You will provide essential 1:1 and group support to students with needs in the following areas:
-Communication and Interaction
-Cognition and Learning
-Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)
-Sensory or Physical
Key Responsibilities:
-Supporting students in accessing the curriculum within the ARP and mainstream settings.
-Implementing tailored strategies to help students manage their needs and behavior.
-Building positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress.
-Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
-DBS on the Update Service.
-Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEN, particularly ASD, ADHD, and challenging behavior.
-A calm, patient, and proactive approach to working with students.
