Axcis Education is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Harrow, providing tailored assistance to students with visual impairments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about inclusion and helping every child thrive.
The Role
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with visual impairments.
Adapt and modify learning materials to make them accessible.
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external specialists to implement strategies that promote independence and engagement.
Support students both in and out of the classroom, ensuring equal access to learning opportunities.
Requirements
Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable, particularly in visual impairment support.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with young people.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
