Teaching Assistant Support Worker – Full-Time – Radstock
Axcis Education is proud to be working in partnership with a further education college in Radstock, Somerset, to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant Support Worker. This full-time role, based at their specialist centre for learners with additional needs, offers an immediate start and the opportunity to transition into a permanent position following a successful initial period.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant Support Worker, you will provide one-to-one support to students aged 16–25 with learning disabilities. Your role will be pivotal in helping these young people develop essential life and learning skills, fostering their independence and confidence. You will work closely with experienced staff in a nurturing environment that values inclusivity and positive behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Offer tailored support to students with diverse needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and cognitive challenges.
Assist in adapting learning materials and activities to meet individual student requirements.
Encourage and support students in developing independence and self-help skills.
Collaborate with teaching staff to implement personalised learning plans.
Monitor and report on student progress, celebrating achievements and identifying areas for development.
