Job Title: Teaching Assistant SEND School
Position: Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Sutton Hours: 8:45am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Pay: £13.69 per hour PAYE About the Role: We are looking for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join our all-age foundation special school. You will work with students with autism, severe learning disabilities, and social-emotional difficulties that impact their ability to manage daily activities. This role requires someone with compassion, patience, and a passion for helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with autism and severe learning disabilities. • Assist in managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour support strategies. • Collaborate with teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs). • Help students develop social, emotional, and practical life skills. • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Requirements: • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly autism and emotional/learning difficulties. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. • Patience, resilience, and the ability to handle challenging behaviour. • Relevant qualifications or experience in SEND education is desirable.
