Job Title: Teaching Assistant, Mainstream Primary, SEND Support
Axcis Education is working with a large mainstream primary school within the Handsworth Wood area. The school prides itself on meeting the specific learning requirements of all it’s pupils and have therefore created a resource hub dedicated to meeting the special educational needs of the pupils with complex needs. The school is also committed to the ongoing learning and development of the staff and will ensure staff are provided opportunities for professional development. The school is seeking a dedicated and flexible teaching assistant to join the resource hub to support children with complex SEND needs including sensory challenges, distressing behaviour, non/pre-verbal communication and personal care needs. The teaching assistant will be based within the resource hub, follow the planning of the teacher and work as a team with the teacher and other teaching assistants to best support the learning of all children in the hub.
