Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Level 4 Location: Rochdale, Lancashire Salary: £110 per day (PAYE) Contract Type: Full-Time Job Description: Axcis Education is eager to appoint an experienced and motivated Teaching Assistant (TA) - Level 4 for a full-time position in a vibrant primary school setting, situated in Rochdale, Lancashire. We are seeking a dedicated professional with the capability to work across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes. Key Responsibilities: - Provide classroom support to teachers in delivering structured learning experiences. - Cover lessons for PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) as well as short-term sickness cover, ensuring continuity in student learning. - Assist with general Teaching Assistant duties including supporting pupils with their work, preparing learning materials, and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. - Exhibit strong behaviour management skills, implementing the school's policies and effectively addressing any issues that may arise. - Gain an understanding of the specific needs of students with Autism, and tailor your approach to support their educational and social development. - Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the planning and assessment of learning activities. Requirements: - Hold a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or HLTA certification. - Possess demonstrable experience of working in a primary school setting. - Exhibit strong classroom management skills and an understanding of different behavior management strategies. - Have a solid understanding of special educational needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder, and the ability to adapt to learners' individual needs. - Be available to work the full-time hours of 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. - Have an approachable, positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service.
