Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 3 - Part Time
Axcis Education is working in partnership with a fantastic mainstream primary school in the Altrincham area to recruit a committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The role may begin before the end of this academic year or from September 2025, depending on your availability.
About the Role:
The successful applicant will work within one of the school’s new ‘Small Specialist SEND Classes’, which are due to open in September 2025. These classes are designed to support children on the autistic spectrum and/or those with complex social communication difficulties and speech and language needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access learning
Promoting engagement, emotional regulation, and communication
Collaborating with teachers and therapists to implement support strategies
Helping to build a calm, structured, and inclusive environment
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEND. They will demonstrate a patient, empathetic, and adaptable nature, along with strong communication and teamwork skills. A current DBS registered on the Update Service is required, or the candidate must be willing to apply for one. Knowledge or experience of phonics is essential.
