Salary: £89 - £95 per day (PAYE)
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join diverse schools across the UK. We are looking for an individual who has a positive impact on student learning and is capable of supporting students with additional needs, including those who present challenging behaviors and those who may go into crisis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver educational activities, ensuring that all students are engaged and supported according to their individual needs.
- Confidently deliver phonics interventions to help improve students' reading and writing skills.
- Provide targeted support to students with additional needs, tailoring approaches to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles.
- Manage and support students who exhibit challenging behaviors, using appropriate strategies to promote a safe and positive learning environment.
- Understand and effectively respond to students in crisis, demonstrating sensitivity to their needs and deescalating situations in line with the school's policy.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and participating in the assessment process.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, and maintain a collaborative working environment.
Requirements:
- Recognized Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Proven experience of working in UK-based schools.
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with additional needs, including those with challenging behaviors.
- Strong ability to deliver phonics interventions and literacy support.
- Excellent understanding of how to support students in crisis and implement appropriate strategies.
- Up-to-date DBS on the update service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to professional growth and development.
