Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to join our team in the inclusive and supportive community of Sutton, London. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the diverse educational requirements of students with SEND and demonstrate a commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment that fosters growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and assess individualized and group lessons that cater to the needs of students with a range of SEND, in line with the National Curriculum.
- Employ innovative teaching methods and educational tools to engage and inspire students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Create a safe, positive classroom environment that promotes self-confidence, acceptance, and respect among students.
- Work collaboratively with parents, professionals, and support staff to develop personalised learning plans that support students' social, emotional, and academic progress.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of students' achievements, adapting teaching strategies to meet each child's evolving needs.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in SEND education.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEND is highly preferred.
- An understanding of safeguarding practices and commitment to child protection.
