This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is patient, caring and confident working with young people who may require additional academic, emotional or behavioural support. The Role As a teaching assistant, you will work alongside teachers and support staff to help students engage with their learning and develop their confidence and independence. Your responsibilities may include: • Supporting students on a one-to-one or small-group basis • Assisting students with their classwork and learning activities • Providing encouragement and helping students remain focused • Supporting students with additional learning needs • Helping to promote positive behaviour and engagement • Building positive and trusting relationships with students • Working closely with teachers and other members of the support team The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: • Caring, patient and approachable • Passionate about working with young people • Able to build positive relationships with students • Confident supporting students with a range of needs • Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic • Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team • Experienced in education, youth work, care or support work is desirable, but not essential A background in care, support work, youth work or education would be particularly beneficial, especially for candidates who are comfortable supporting students with their emotional, social and behavioural needs.
