Axcis are currently working with a primary school in Flintshire that require a TA with level 1 or 2 BSL skills to support a number of children within a secondary hearing impairment unit. The role is to work with a number of children with a range of SEND including hearing impairment, speech and language and complex needs. The children all have a different range of signing skills, so as well as communicating using BSL, you will also be required to enhance the BSL skills within the class. You will be working closely with the class teacher and a full time TA based in the classroom to support children in small group interventions as well as on a 1-1 basis. Applicants must be able to hear the lesson in order to interpret to the children. The role is to commence immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year. The child will require support during literacy, numeracy and all other subjects and also some playground supervision will be required. This role is full time, Monday-Friday 8.45-3.30pm with an immediate start. You must have experience of working with children and be able to provide an education reference.
