Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Further Education
Experienced Teaching Assistant – Special Needs Further Education School, Harrow
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Immediate Start
A dedicated Special Needs Further Education (FE) school in Harrow is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and dynamic team.
The school provides specialist education for young people with a range of learning needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism, and associated complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential in a tailored, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students aged 16–25 with a range of special educational needs
Assisting in the delivery of individual learning programmes
Promoting independence, life skills, and personal development
Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a special needs or FE setting
Strong understanding of SEN, particularly autism and complex needs
Patience, empathy, and a person-centred approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Relevant qualifications or training (desirable)
