Supply Jobs for SEND TA Jobs

Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Full Time - Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) - Wirral
A two-form entry primary school in Wirral is seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to work on a 1-1 basis with a pupil who requires support with their social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school has a strong team of experienced and supportive staff, excellent outdoor facilities and also has a staff car park onsite. Your role as a 1-1 teaching assistant will be to support a pupil in reception who has SEMH and challenging behaviour. The child had low self esteem so it would be your responsibility to build a strong relationship with the child and implement behaviour management strategies. Leading 1-1 learning interventions may be required, as well as support for the child during lunch and play times. You may also be required to carry out small group intervention sessions with other pupils in the class who have mild learning difficulties (MLD) and specific learning difficulties (SpLD) such as dyslexia. Previous experience of working within EYFS or KS1 would be beneficial to your application. You would be required to work from 8:45am - 3:30pm, 5 days per week with an immediate start.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
