SEMH Teaching Assistant – Start This January and Help Transform Young Lives Location: Knowsley Setting: Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Type: Full-Time | Part-Time Are you driven by the desire to change young lives for the better? We’re looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive PRU team this January—a fantastic opportunity to help students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs grow in confidence, overcome challenges and discover their potential. What You’ll Be Doing Inspire & Support Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions, helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and academic progress in a setting built around trust and understanding. Collaborate with a Purpose • Work alongside teachers, behaviour specialists and multidisciplinary professionals to shape targeted interventions and contribute to personalised Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Create a Safe, Nurturing Environment • Build positive relationships and provide a calm, consistent presence where students feel valued, supported and respected. Empower Personal Growth • Help pupils develop emotional regulation, social skills, coping strategies and productive learning behaviours that set them up for success. Track and Celebrate Progress • Monitor engagement, behaviour and academic development—recognising and celebrating every milestone, big or small. Think Creatively • Support and contribute to engaging, practical and accessible activities designed to inspire learners who may not thrive in traditional classroom settings. About You • You’re someone who genuinely wants to help young people overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
