SEND Teacher – PMLD Secondary School Location: Harrow Full-time | Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:00pm We are a specialist education recruitment agency currently working in partnership with a well-established SEND secondary school in Harrow. We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEND teacher to join a dedicated team working with pupils with PMLD on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for a teacher with QTS (preferred) or an experienced teacher without QTS who has a strong background in SEND education. The school welcomes applications from both primary and secondary trained teachers, as pupils with PMLD are working significantly below age-related expectations. The Role – SEND Teacher (PMLD) As a SEND teacher in this PMLD secondary school, you will: • Teach pupils with PMLD in a highly supportive SEND environment • Plan and deliver lessons linked to the UK National Curriculum, adapted for pupils with complex SEND • Work with pupils who all have EHCPs, ensuring individual targets are met • Collaborate closely with specialist support staff to deliver high-quality SEND provision • Take responsibility for planning, assessment, and wider teacher duties This is a Monday to Friday role, with planning time included, allowing the teacher to focus on delivering meaningful learning experiences for pupils with PMLD. About You We are keen to hear from a teacher who: • Holds QTS (preferred), or has extensive experience as a SEND teacher • Has recent experience teaching the UK National Curriculum • Is confident adapting learning for pupils with PMLD and complex SEND • Is a mainstream teacher looking to transition into SEND teaching • Is patient, reflective, and passionate about supporting pupils with PMLD Previous experience working with PMLD is desirable but not essential — the school provides strong support for teachers new to this area of SEND.
