Axcis Education is excited to be working with a forward thinking school in South Manchester, that is looking for a higher level teaching assistant to join them from Easter until the end of the academic year; with the possibility of a permanent contract at the end of it.
The ideal HLTA will either hold a Level 4 HLTA qualification or be a qualified teacher looking for a slight change in direction with reduced responsibility. Experience of covering whole classes, delivering input to smaller groups and intervention sessions are all essential aspects of this role. A solid understanding and experience of teaching Phonics is also an essential requirement of this role.
This full-time role would require the HLTA to work across KS1 and KS2 doing adhock cover such as PPA. There would be no planning involved as this is all in place for the chosen HLTA. Also - there would be an element of Phonics Intervention involved in the role, especially in KS1.
This forward thinking Trafford based primary school is based in the Urmston area and boasts excellent transport links. Strong Senior Leaders have created a happy, warm learning environment for their pupils and staff to thrive in. Inclusion is at the forefront of everything they do with parents, staff and students all pulling in the same direction. With a wonderful working environment and good transport links, this is a great school to continue your SEND journey in.
The school in question are currently arranging trial days with a view to starting the full-time role after Easter. This role is certainly until the end of the academic year and will go permanent for the rightHLTA. If you are interested, contact Axcis Education immediately as this role will not be around for long.
This is a temporary position.
If you are interested, then please contact Thomas Faithwaite at Axcis Education on 0161 507 9397.
This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.
Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
