Support Workers - Waking Nights - South Gloucestershire - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Supply Jobs for SEND TA Jobs

Job Title: Support Workers - Waking Nights
South Gloucestershire
Full Time
Axcis are pleased to be working with a residential unit towards South Gloucestershire who are looking for additional support workers to join their team on a supply basis. They are looking for night staff for waking nights. It will typically start off as waking night and once you become familiar the shifts may change to sleep in. The unit has a very friendly atmosphere and a supportive environment, and it is well liked by all staff we have sent to them in the past. Situated towards Patchway, the unit has been described as a home from home by the children who stay there and has excellent transport links. The children all have a range of needs and go to this unit a few times a month to provide their parents with respite. There is a school mini bus that collects and picks up the children. Axcis Education is a specialist recruitment company for SEND that was established in July 2001, and is now recognised as the foremost supplier of quality SEND teaching and support staff in the UK. Axcis offers excellent training opportunities, including CPD training sessions on Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Behaviour Management and Non-verbal Communication, to name but a few. If you are interested, then please contact Gemma Lee-Beresford at Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
