This full-time position offers the opportunity to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a nurturing, well-resourced environment. The Role Working alongside experienced teachers and therapists, you will support pupils aged 5–11 with a range of complex needs. Every pupil has an EHCP, and many benefit from structured routines, therapeutic approaches and consistent adult support throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include: Providing classroom, small group and 1:1 support for pupils with ASC and SEMH. Promoting emotional regulation, communication and positive behaviour. Building trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn. Supporting personalised learning activities tailored to individual EHCP outcomes. Using positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques. Working closely with teachers, therapists and families to ensure consistent support. Helping create a calm, engaging and inclusive learning environment. About You We are looking for someone who: Has experience supporting children or young people with ASC and/or SEMH. Can build positive relationships through patience, empathy and consistency. Has a calm, resilient approach and can confidently manage challenging behaviours. Understands trauma-informed practice and emotional regulation strategies. Has excellent communication and teamwork skills. Has experience in education, youth work, care, psychology or a similar setting (desirable). Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
