Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hampton, London. This role is vital in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential in an inclusive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and group support to students with diverse learning needs under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment, encouraging students’ social and emotional development.
• Support classroom management and facilitate inclusive teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
• Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and contribute to regular assessments as required.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with SEND.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and empathetic approach to meeting the needs of all students.
• Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support (desirable but not essential).
