Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Mon–Fri | 8:30am–3:30pm | £89/day
We are looking for a compassionate, energetic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Reading. This role involves supporting pupils with a wide range of SEND, including those with personal care needs such as changing and toileting. You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist pupils with day-to-day learning activities and classroom tasks
Provide support with personal care, including changing and toileting where required
Help deliver tailored learning programs under the guidance of teaching staff
Build strong relationships with pupils and act as a positive role model
Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for all pupils
About You
Experience supporting children with SEND, including personal care needs
Patient, approachable, and compassionate
High energy and able to work on your feet throughout the day
Confident in setting clear boundaries while fostering independence
Excellent communication and team-working skills
