Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant – Autism & Sensory Needs – Rainham
From £89/day | EYFS | Rainham | Immediate Start | Full-Time | Long-Term
Axcis are recruiting for an Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing primary school in Rainham, supporting pupils with autism, sensory processing needs and developmental delay. The school has a strong EYFS team, excellent leadership and a warm, supportive culture focused on early communication and emotional development.
The school is within walking distance of the station and offers parking for staff.
In this role, you will be:
• Supporting EYFS pupils through play-based, sensory-led learning activities.
• Helping children develop early communication, attention and interaction skills.
• Supporting routines, transitions and emotional regulation throughout the day.
• Setting up sensory activities and structured play opportunities.
• Working closely with the SENCO, EYFS teachers and therapists to track progress.
What we’re looking for:
• Experience in Early Years, SEND or childcare settings.
• A nurturing, patient and enthusiastic personality.
• Understanding of autism and early developmental needs.
• Commitment to full-time, long-term work.
