Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Wembley is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with speech and language needs and ASD. This is a full-time role, starting on 1st December 2025, offering the chance to make a genuine difference in a child’s learning and development within a supportive mainstream environment.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a primary school setting and confident in supporting a child’s academic, social and emotional progress. You will also be required to assist with personal care, ensuring the child’s well-being and comfort throughout the school day.
We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and proactive TA who can build strong relationships, encourage independence and work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective strategies for learning and communication.
Requirements:
• Prior experience working in a UK primary school setting
• Level 3 or higher UK TA qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD and speech and language needs
• Willingness to assist with personal care
• Patient, caring and professional approach
