Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - Walsall
We are proud to be working closely with a welcoming and inclusive Special Educational Needs Provision in Walsall, catering to students aged 11–18 with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and severe autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The school offers tailored support that helps young people gain confidence, develop life skills, and prepare for adulthood.
As the school prepares for the next academic year, they are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team on a long-term basis from September 2025.
Role Overview:
• Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
• Start Date: September 2025
• Location: Walsall
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Pay: Starting from £89 per day (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
• Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to ensure tailored support
• Helping prepare students for their next steps beyond age 18
Candidate Requirements:
• SEND experience is essential, though direct school experience is not required
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with complex needs
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to provide two professional references
• Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development
